Philippine Military Academy (PMA) Cadets demonstrated their communication skills by winning multiple awards at the 16th National Campus Media Conference held from September 25-27, 2025.
Competing against 1,197 participants from 104 schools across the country, the PMA Cadets earned recognition in various journalism and media categories.
Their achievements included first place in Digital Publication for Science and Technology, second place in documentary production, and several top placements in profile feature writing, photography, and layout design.
The conference, organized by the School Press Advisers Movement Inc. in cooperation with National University-Clark, brought together student journalists from elementary through college levels.
The theme focused on empowering campus journalists as “Catalysts for Truth, Integrity, and Emerging Trends through Ethical Storytelling.”
The PMA emphasizes that beyond military training, it encourages cadets to develop well-rounded skills through activities like journalism and media production.
The academy maintains several media-focused clubs, including the Cadet Media Team for photography and videography, and the Corps Publication for writing.
These competitions provide cadets opportunities to enhance their critical thinking, communication, and leadership abilities while staying current with modern media trends and technologies. — iNewsPH.com
