The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) held its regular quarterly meeting with civilian advisers on September 22 to discuss ongoing military modernization and reform programs.
The meeting took place at the Batasan Complex and brought together military leaders with representatives from the government, the private sector, academic institutions, and civil society groups.
AFP Chief of Staff General Romeo Brawner Jr. led the discussions with the Multi-Sector Governance Council, which advises the military on its transformation initiatives.
The council reviewed progress in several areas, including digital modernization of military systems, human resource development, and defense governance improvements.
Gen. Brawner emphasized the importance of maintaining these reform programs through leadership changes.
The AFP described the council as a key partner in helping the military become a modern, professional organization that can effectively serve the nation. — iNewsPH.com
